A downloadable game for Windows
Content Warning - Language & Smoking/Alcohol Use
You take the role of Detective Slate, a Robot PI tasked with identifying the leader of a human rebel group at a bar in 1920's New York. Look around the area for clues, talk to bar patrons to gain information, enjoy the music, and choose wisely.
Created for Chill Jam over two weeks by a team of 4, all code and assets (except fonts) were made in that time.
- Adriel Claflin - Character Art
- Alieha Dryden - Backgrounds & Story
- Chris Dahrens - Coding & UI
- John Kiser - Music & Sound Effects
Point and click scenes with hidden clues and characters. Spacebar and 1-5 keys to navigate dialogue.
(Update 1 was released post jam to fix some bugs and a dialogue tree error that made it impossible to leave the second conversation with the Mysterious Man, and is recommended for those that want to experience the game in a more polished state.)

nice game
I love the noir art style, and it clearly can be seen that this was made by an artist and with care. The only thing this game needs is the protagonist walk around the room as in a point and click game. I haven't played it through yet (I have no too much time to play), but this one was one of my favorites from this jam. Good job!
Are you guys planning to make it something bigger? Maybe this could evolve into a full indie project. :)
Thanks! We actually had a walk cycle made during the jam, but ran into issues with the walk system looking kind of weird so we chose to leave it out for the submission. We might go back and add it in later, not sure. Currently no plans to make this into a full project for now though, we all work so this was done pretty much entirely on the weekends, but it would be cool.
Fun little game! I love the artstyle. The different music for each character is a nice little touch, although it distracted me a lot from reading the dialogue. But honestly I'm not sure what gave the leader away? Maybe I missed a hint. By the way, you can't arrest the barkeeper.
Thanks for playing! The dialogue music was a stylistic choice that we thought was cool but it can definitely get distracting lol, I kept getting distracted with the audio as well. The clues were hidden around the scene, there are objects you can interact with besides the characters, though even if you found all the clues and talked through every person's dialogue it might not be 100% clear, which was semi-intentional. It ended up being surprisingly hard to balance the hints between useless and a dead giveaway.
Thanks for letting me know that out can't arrest the barkeep, I must've forgot to link that option, I'll get that fixed soon.
